Located in La Joliette, between the docks and Avenue de Dunkerque, this project consists of the first building of a new generation of operations that will renew the architecture of the Euro Méditerranée neighborhood.

The Coeur Méditerranée building is organized in a U-shaped plan and includes an Ibis Hotel in the southern part, a Suite Hotel in the northern wing, offices, shops on the ground floor and 387 underground parking spaces in the longest part.

The building’s cladding runs around its faces like an almost continuous ribbon, pierced in a recurring trapezoidal pattern evoking the city’s maritime character for the south-facing facades.

The north-facing facades are largely glazed, and each room has a sheltered loggia with a view of the sea. A large porch connects the Avenue de Dunkerque with an interior courtyard-garden and allows pedestrians to cross the building freely to go back down to the Docks at the rear. The building, with its clean lines, is revealed by the smooth whiteness of the concrete and the softness of its material.

Its architecture places it in the new direction desired by the City of Marseille in terms of sustainability and environmental quality.
